SATSUMA, Fla. (AP) - A search of a trash bin near a missing 5-year-old girl's home turned up no clues.
Haleigh Cummings has been missing for 17 days. She was reported missing from her father's Satsuma mobile home, and police have received more than 1,600 tips in the case.
On Thursday morning, several teams of cadaver-sniffing dogs searched in the area around the Putnam County mobile home park where Haleigh disappeared.
Late in the afternoon, investigators converged on a Dumpster where the dogs picked up a scent. However, after about six hours of scouring the trash, police said they found nothing that could be linked to the missing girl.
