MIAMI (AP) - After a four-day manhunt, police shot and killed a man wanted in connection with a litany of horrific crimes.
Oswain Walcott was shot Wednesday night. Police had wanted to question him in the slaying of an 18-year-old movie theater worker whose body was found outside a South Beach apartment last week.
The 22-year-old Walcott ran from police Tuesday night and jumped from a second-story window when they attempted to question him.
Police said Walcott then broke into the home of a family on South Beach and held them at knifepoint.
On Wednesday night, police tracked Walcott to a Northeast Miami-Dade apartment complex, where he may have hurled a woman in her 50s from a third-story balcony. They have not identified the woman.
Walcott was also wanted in Augusta, Georgia on burglary charges.
