TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - Gov. Charlie Crist is being questioned by some members of his own party for supporting the economic stimulus packaged that is expected to be approved by Congress.
Speaking on the U.S. Senate floor, Florida Sen. Mel Martinez said he didn't know if Crist understands the details of the stimulus plan.
Crist appeared with President Barack Obama earlier this week in Fort Myers in support of the plan. The governor said yesterday that he is still happy with the federal stimulus package even though Florida won't get as much money as first thought.
Crist is in St. Petersburg today.
