ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - The mother of a slain Florida toddler says she wishes a memorial service for her daughter were a private affair and not open to the public.

Casey Anthony says through her attorney that she wishes the service planned for Tuesday was just for her family. Thousands of mourners are expected to crowd the First Baptist Church of Orlando for the service, which also will be broadcast live on local Orlando television.

Casey Anthony will remain at the Orange County Jail during the service. A jail spokesman says no request has been made by Casey Anthony to watch the service on television.

Caylee was 2 when she disappeared last summer. Her remains were found last December. Casey Anthony has been charged with killing her.

Body found in December, after having been missing for several months, and a service now in February...that seems unfair. Her mother makes requests from jail, which seems unfair. Detecting a pattern, i think the end result will be Ms. Anthony being acquitted and given am eHarmony account to fing a new baby-daddy. just an observation.
