A hunting accident this weekend takes the life of a 57-year-old woman.
According to Fish and Wildlife Officials it happened in Liberty County near Hosford at the Blue Creek Hunting Club.
The woman named Pansey Langston was accidentally shot while her and her husband were running down deer with their dogs.
Apparently Ms. Langston had just gotten out of her car when another member of the hunting club spotted a deer.
He didn't see the couple or their car because of the thick foliage. He fired twice and apparently a buck shot hit her in her upper chest.
Investigators say the first deputy on scene performed CPR.
She was flown to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, but pronounced dead.
FWC Officials say the 26-year-old shooter knew Langston personally and is devastated about the accident.
Officers don't anticipate any charges to be filed, but they will sit down with the state attorney's office to review the incident.
