Palatka Boater's Body Found; Autopsy Planned

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. (AP) - Authorities have found the body of a
boater who went missing near the St. Augustine inlet in northeast
Florida.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission says 69-year-old John Franklin left in his boat Thursday afternoon from Vilano Beach. The boat was found empty but still running Friday morning, entangled with another boat's anchor line. Franklin's body was found by a passing boater later in the afternoon, not far from where his boat was found.

Authorities believe the death was the result of a boating accident. A medical examiner will perform an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
