PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say a Broward County
Sheriff's deputy helping a motorist was hit by a passing car.
The deputy was taken Friday night to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood. He was treated and released.
The driver accused of striking the deputy in Pembroke Park shortly after 8 p.m. was stopped by authorities. The investigation is continuing.
No other injuries were reported.
