Shooting at a residence in Fountain leaves two in hospital

At about 6:15 this morning, February 2, 2009, a 911 call was placed to the Bay County Sheriff’s Office in reference to a shooting in Fountain.

Deputies responded to 20036 Morrow Road and found one of the residents, Paul Wynn, had been shot twice. EMS also responded and took Wynn and his wife, Lucinda Wynn, to a local hospital for medical attention.

Investigators determined that Wynn and his wife had been home this morning when a man they believe to be Michael Z. Rivera arrived and awoke the couple.

Paul Wynn went to the door and had conversation with Rivera before Rivera allegedly took out a firearm, shooting Wynn twice–once in the chest. Lucinda Wynn fled the home, running for help from nearby relatives. Investigators believe Rivera attempted multiple times to shoot Mrs. Wynn as she fled, but failed to hit her. Lucinda Wynn did reach the home of a family member and a 911 call was placed.

Investigators are looking for Michael Z. Rivera, DOB 7/15/82. He is believed to be driving a light blue Suburban with a Florida tag of 496 JZR.

Anyone with information on the location of Michael Z. Rivera is asked to call the Bay County Sheriff’s Office at 747-4700 or Crime Stoppers at 785-TIPS.
