HOLLYWOOD, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say 18 Broward high school
students were arrested after a fight broke out in the school
Hollywood police say the fight occurred during Wednesday's first
lunch period when an argument between several South Broward High
students escalated into a physical fight.
The school resource officer attempted to break up the fight and called for backup from other officers.
Police arrested 17 male students and one female student.
They were all charged with disrupting a school function and disorderly
The students were later released to their parents.
No injuries were reported, and no gun or knife was found on any
