Authorities say fire at southwest Florida church investigated as arson

NAPLES, Fla. (AP) - A Naples church is cleaning up after vandals
ransacked a courtyard and set a chair on fire.

North Naples Fire Marshal Dave Raub said the Tuesday morning
fire at the First Baptist Church of Naples is being investigated as
"both arson and criminal mischief."

Douglas Pigg, a pastor of church administration, said the
vandals broke pots on the church's courtyard and set a purple
armchair on fire inside the building.

No one was injured in the blaze, which Pigg said was quickly
extinguished.
