Deputy Dies in One-Vehicle Wreck

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - A 12-year veteran of the Jackson County Sheriff's Office has died in a single-vehicle crash in the Florida Panhandle. Florida Highway Patrol officials say Jimmy K. Wright died in
early Sunday when his 2006 Ford F-150 ran off the road, striking several driveways and causing his truck to roll several times. Wright, 35, was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the truck. He was pronounced dead at a hospital. Cpl. Donnie Chapman of the FHP says the crash is still under investigation, but it looks as though Wright may have fallen asleep while driving.
