VP of Sierra Leone urges increased trade with Fla.

MIAMI (AP) - The vice president of the northwest African country
of Sierra Leone is visiting South Florida.

Samuel Sam-Sumana was promoting increased trade and cultural
relations between his country of 6.2 million people and the state.

Sierra Leone had been racked with civil war in recent years, but
Sam-Sumana said fighting is over and the country is open for
business.

He expressed interest in opening a consulate in Miami-Dade
County and establishing sister city relations.
