SARASOTA, Fla. (AP) - Janis Krums says he was Twittering from his cell phone when he
heard someone yell: "There's a plane in the water." He took a
photograph showing passengers standing on the plane's wing and
sitting in a raft as they waited to be rescued. He says his vessel
took on board 30 to 40 of the survivors.
He posted the photograph to the Twitter Web site - then spent
the rest of the day doing interviews with the news media.
Krums, who was in town working on his startup company and
visiting friends, says it was "incredible" how calm everyone was
during the rescue.
