Fla. CFO Sink to seek re-election

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - Sink was the most prominent Democrat thinking about running for
the seat that Republican Sen. Mel Martinez is leaving after next
year's election. The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee in
Washington was trying to recruit her to get in the race.

But she announced Friday she will seek a second term in 2010.
Other potential Democratic candidates who have been watching
Sink will likely speed up plans to make their own announcements.

The only major candidate from either party to announce a Senate
run is Democratic U.S. Rep. Kendrick Meek of Miami.
