The incident happened off shore, the reports of the dive incident happening in the park are because that's where the transfer to TraumaHawk and the incident investigation took place. Lazy reporting at it's very worst. It was only due to the quick and proper action of the dive boat operator that the injured diver was delivered to Sandsprit Park that allowed the trauma professionals to treat and save the life of this young man. The Trauma team including the dive boat Captain, Traumahawk and the St Mary's trauma team need to be commended on their performance. The recovery and rehabilitation of this young victim are in my prayers.
