1 Fla. Skydiver Killed, 1 Injured During Jump

SEBASTIAN, Fla. (AP) - Police on Florida's eastern coast say a
skydiver died and a second one was injured during jumps from the
same airplane.

No further information about the victims was immediately released.

Police said they were handling the investigation as two separate
incidents, though both skydivers jumped from the same airplane run by Skydive Sebastian Inc.

The company's manager, Amanda Owens, said these kinds of accidents are rare, and one victim was an experienced jumper.

The condition of the surviving skydiver was not immediately released, but on-scene officials described the injuries as non-life-threatening.
