BUNNELL, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say three adults and two juveniles illegally killed at least 17 deer - including yearlings - in Flagler County.
The three adults - 18-year-old Tracy Coates, 18-year-old Dalton Lanich and 22-year-old Dustin Sanders - were arraigned on multiple charges related to deer poaching on Tuesday.
The two juveniles also face charges.
State wildlife officials received a complaint the night before Thanksgiving claiming people were hunting on private land without permission.
An investigation found violations that included hunting deer at night using a light, shooting deer out of season, shooting does and yearlings, shooting deer from roadways and abandoning carcasses with little meat taken.
Officials found a total of 57 violations spanning several months.
