ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - A family whose Christmas presents were
stolen from under their tree got a special treat from local authorities.
The Orange County Sheriff's Office and the Fraternal Order of
Police gave Sandra Pereira's three kids a mini shopping spree at a
The two groups donated money and gave each child a
$150 gift certificate.
The stolen gifts had been given to the
children during an event where underprivileged children get gifts.
Besides the gifts, Pereira's engagement ring and other items
were stolen. The home was also ransacked.
