Officials Say Deputy's Service Weapon Was Stolen

OCALA, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say the service weapon of a Marion County Sheriff's deputy was stolen from an unmarked vehicle.

Authorities say the theft occurred between Saturday night and
Sunday morning.

Authorities say the vehicle was parked in the deputy's driveway when someone broke the driver's side window and removed the .45-caliber handgun.

The deputy discovered the gun was missing the next morning. A report was then made to police.
