Soldier Mom to See Young Daughter's First Steps

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) - After a year and-a-half in Iraq, soldier Syd Leslie will return to the sweet sounds of her little girl's footsteps.

Leslie has never seen 4-year-old Cheyenne walk before. She was
diagnosed with cerebral palsy as an infant, but she will run
without assistance to greet her mother as she steps off the plane
at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport on Tuesday.

Cheyenne recently learned to walk without assistance under an aggressive physical therapy program.
