The latest attack happened on Sunday. Clearwater police say
three Hispanic men were robbed at gunpoint in a parking lot.
So far this year there have been more than 50 cases of Hispanics
Police have warned Hispanic residents about dozens of cases that
fit a similar profile: Hispanic men, walking alone or riding their
bikes, often at night, being robbed at gunpoint.
But Officer Brian Munoz said the attacks appeared to be "crimes
of opportunity" and not racially motivated.
