Co-workers have these things to say about the 2008 City of Destin Employee of the Year, Jeff Rogers:
Does the job the right way the first time. Uses sound judgment decisions for City projects. Assists other people in their job and helps makes things easier. Explains things so everyone is on the same page. Always in a good and positive mood.
Jeff began service to the City on September 18, 2006 as a Maintenance Technician in the Public Works Department.
He is responsible for the maintenance of all City properties. His duties are necessary to keep buildings and facilities in operating condition.
His past experience in the building construction industry has been an invaluable asset.
His work may involve minor plumbing, carpentry, electrical, mechanical and preventive maintenance, which are well represented in the City Hall Annex and Buck Destin renovations.
Jeff recommends measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment and will assist whenever needed.
Rogers receives a Plaque, a $100 Cash Certificate, his name will be inscribed on the City Hall Plaque; and for the next year Jeff will have a parking space at Public Services with a reserved sign in his name.
