Bay County Sheriff's investigators have arrested a Southport man, and are charging him with an open count of murder.
Thirty-year-old Michael Sean Harrell of Panama City was found dead yesterday around 10:30am inside this home on Newman Point Road in Southport.
And police say this man did it.
Twenty-eight-year-old Leroy Alfred Parsons the fourth is charged with killing Harrell.
The residents, who had been out all night, returned home to find Harrell shot to death in their home.
There was also a champagne-colored Ford F-150 pick-up truck parked in-front of the home.
Sheriff's investigators say they were able to develop leads quickly – which led them to Parsons, Monday afternoon.
Harrell is friends with the residents of the home and knew they would not be home all night. Once Harrell arrived, investigators believe Parsons robbed him and ended up shooting Harrell multiple times
Authorities are still collecting evidence and questioning witnesses, but at this time, they don't believe the residents knew anything about Parsons' alleged plot.
Parsons is currently in the Bay County Jail, awaiting a bond hearing scheduled forTuesday morning.
The case will be referred to a grand jury for possible indictment.
