MIAMI (AP) - Federal authorities have arrested a Port St. Lucie
man who has been posing as a U.S. diplomatic officer.
Port St. Lucie police pulled over Steven Wayne Morror for a
traffic violation in November. Morror told officers he was a U.S.
diplomat and could not be stopped or detained.
He also presented a "Head of State" identification card and a badge inscribed with "Ambassador-Diplomat." He was ultimately allowed to leave the scene.
Further investigation revealed Morror is not a diplomatic officer.
The Miami U.S. Attorney's Office announced charges against him on Monday.
