A Bay County man convicted of killing his girlfriend's son has been sentenced to life in prison without parole.
Twenty-six-year-old Robert Sturdivant was found guilty of murder and child abuse last month in the November 2007 death of two-year-old Isaiah Howard.
An autopsy revealed the toddler died from blunt force trauma.
Investigators say Sturtevant confessed to striking the child in the head.
It took a jury half-an-hour to find Sturdivant guilty, one year to the day after the child died.
