MELBOURNE, Fla. (AP) - Florida Institute of Technology and the University of Miami are holding vigils for victims of last week's terror attacks in India.
Students plan to gather Wednesday in front of the union building on the Melbourne campus, and at the university center of the Miami
Both events start at 7 p.m.
At Florida Tech, almost a fifth of the university's population
are foreign students, a large number of them from India. The
University of Miami is home to several Indian student groups.
The attack on 10 sites in Mumbai finally ended Saturday morning,
with at least 172 people dead and 239 wounded.
The dead included six Americans.
