Jackson Co. Commissioners Agree To Put Money From a Housing Fund Into Circulation

Jackson County commissioners have a temporary resolution with Compass Lake residents and employees.

People crowding into a commission meeting Tuesday accused the county of continuing to withhold revenue from municipal service taxing.

The Property Owners Association charges a $135 annual assessment on each parcel in the compass lake subdivision. The fee is meant to repair roads, provide fire protection and other services.

Commissioners finally agreed to release approximately $30,000 of the MSTU Funds for the first quarter of next year.

The two sides will continue working on a contract that will please everyone.
