TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - A new state revenue estimate is
expected to result in more bad financial news.
State economists meet Friday to revise their forecast on how
much general tax revenue Florida should collect during the rest of
the current and next few budget years.
They've reduced their forecasts in each of the last several
estimates, now made three times a year, because each time the
state's economy has proven worse than previously thought.
The last estimate in August also resulted in a forecast for a
deficit of about $1.3 billion in the current budget year that ends
