Bay District School officials have suspended two Bay High School support staff members without pay and are moving toward termination.

Cafeteria employee Linda Durant and her live-in boyfriend, school custodian John Ceurvels, appeared at a personnel hearing Wednesday afternoon.

Durant is accused of selling marijuana to a student.

The student's parents called Bay County Sheriff's Investigators with the tip, which led to a search of Durant’s vehicle.

Inside, authorities say they found Marijuana, Loritabs and Xanax.

A search of the couple's gulf county home allegedly turned up more marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Wednesday school board members approved Superintendent James McCalister's recommendations to fire Durant and Ceurvels.

Both have 21 days to request a hearing before an administrative law judge if they chose. That judge would then decide whether to uphold their termination.
