NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. (AP) - A North Fort Myers man is facing a
burglary charge after authorities say he tried to rob a bank's ATM
by ramming a truck into a post near the machine.
Investigators believe 27-year-old Adam Kaczmarz was trying to
unhinge the machine.
But Kaczmarz said he was just trying to make his father's truck appear that it had been in an accident because he had been drinking and driving.
Kaczmarz said he had already hit a sign.
Kaczmarz, who is facing a charge of burglary to a structure
using a vehicle and causing damage, has been released on bond.
