The Bay County Sheriff's Illegal Alien Enforcement Unit has arrested three men working for a company that was performing repair work on a sidewalk just outside the Bay County Jail.
Investigators say Rex Shiver Landscaping had determined the trio had used fraudulent documents to obtain employment. The three men were working on a sidewalk repair job just outside the front door of the Bay County Jail.
When investigators approached the men and spoke with them they learned the men were illegal aliens and were using stolen social security numbers.
Arrested was Sofonias Velasquez-Perez, 22, unknown street address in Quincy, was charged with Criminal Use of Personal Identification Information. Velasquez-Perez, originally from Mexico, was using the social security number of an American child.
Also arrested was Ever Antonio Aguilar, 26, of 2219 W. Jefferson Street, Quincy. He was charged with Criminal Use of Personal Identification Information. Originally from El Salvador, Aguilar was also using the social security number of an American child.
Investigators also arrested Amelzar Hernandez Ozuna, 26, a transient from Quincy. Ozuna, from Mexico, was charged with Criminal Use of Personal Identification Information. Ozuna also went under the alias of Luis Ortiz Ruiz.
All three men are now being held in the Bay County Jail and have had retainers placed on them for Immigration Customs Enforcement( ICE).
