Homicide detectives are investigating a crash into a canal that killed three men near Homestead, Florida.

Shortly after 3:30 a.m. Sunday, officials said four men in a car were involved in an accident in a shopping center parking lot, then drove away.

The car careened into a fence, drove through a vacant lot and landed in a canal.

A passerby pulled one of the men out of the car, but authorities later found two bodies inside the submerged car and a third in the water.
