Fay-Storm Assistance

Tropical Storm Fay left behind flooding and other damage when it

churned across Florida in late August.

Now, officials in Florida have announced that farmers in fifty nine

Florida counties hit hard by Tropical Storm Fay will now qualify for

federal assistance.

The U.S Department of Agriculture is declaring thirty six counties

throughout the state as primary natural disaster areas an also named

twenty three Florida counties as contiguous disaster counties.

Farmers in those counties will now be considered for assistance from

the Farm Service Agency.
