2 children seriously injured in crash

PORT ORANGE, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say four children were injured in a three-vehicle crash.

According to authorities the identity of the children whose ages range from 9 to 15, is not being released.

The 9-year-old was in serious condition and the others in stable\ condition.

The condition of an adult involved was not immediately available.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, before 8 p.m. a sport utility vehicle rear-ended another SUV while overtaking it.

The first vehicle then sideswiped a third SUV, causing it to turn over. The driver of the first vehicle fled and the driver of the second SUV followed the fleeing driver, but lost the vehicle.

The Florida Highway Patrol is still investigating.
