TITUSVILLE, Fla. (AP) - A group of teenagers walking by a Titusville graveyard found a human skull and later turned it into police.
The Titusville Police Department reports that several other bones were recovered Tuesday from piles of dirt left over from when the cemetery digs graves. The teenage boys had reported the skull they found on Monday. Authorities say the bones might have come from an old grave that was accidentally dug up.
The bones have been sent over to the University of Florida's Forensic Anthropology Department to determine the age and gender. Authorities will use that information to help identify the remains.
