TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - An analysis of Florida's standardized test shows students have misconceptions about science, and they need more practice demonstrating its concepts.
The state Department of Education on Monday released its first "lessons learned" analysis of the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test's science component.
The analysis of FCAT science tests given between 2003-06 to fifth, eighth and 11th graders is currently available online. A printed version will be distributed in November to teachers across Florida.
