TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - Florida's Attorney General's Office says it has received more than 1,500 complaints about gasoline price gouging.
That's just as of Tuesday morning.
Hillsborough County had the most with 138 complaints, followed by Leon County with 126.
The Economic Crimes Division will review the complaints, and provide another update in the afternoon.
Meanwhile, state agriculture officials said they would serve 16 gas companies with subpoenas after residents reported gas stations increasing prices in the wake of Hurricane Ike. Another four subpoenas would be served by the Attorney General's Office.
