The Florida Supreme Court will decide if a constitutional amendment that gives patients a right to check records on past mistakes by health care facilities and providers includes nursing homes and nurses.

The justices heard oral argument in the case Wednesday.

It involves a lawsuit over the death of a patient who choked on coleslaw she was served against doctor's orders at a nursing home
in West Palm Beach.
