TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - A chain-reaction crash involving a bus,
minivan and cement mixer truck has killed an 8-year-old girl and
injured seven other children and the van driver Friday.
Ronshay Dugans died at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.
Five other students taken to Tallahassee Memorial were treated and released. Capital Regional Medical Center spokeswoman Ellen Cole said two other children and an adult were treated at that facility and were being released.
The bus, owned by a Boys and Girls Club, was taking 27 students
from Apalachee Elementary School, where Ronshay was a third grader, to the club.
The cement truck rear-ended the bus while stopped for a red light in a left-turn lane on Capital Circle just southeast of Tallahassee.
