Florida Man Captured After Threatening Students

APOPKA, Fla. (AP) - A man is behind bars after authorities say he threatened students at a Central Florida middle school.

Apopka Police say 36-year-old Jeramy W. Martin drove his pickup onto Wolf Lake Middle School Thursday, implied he had a weapon and began threatening a P.E. class. A school officer who came to the area and says Martin got back in his truck and tried to run over the officer.

Martin fled to a wooded area and later told police after his capture that he was on a two-day cocaine binge. He was arrested on aggravated assault, fleeing and other charges.
