HIALEAH, Fla. (AP) - Authorities are investigating a possible tornado in Hialeah, an area just northwest of Miami.
An official with the Hialeah Fire Department says reports of a tornado came in just after 3 p.m. and several structures have roof damage of varying degrees. There were no reports of any injuries, but a single story duplex with four units was one of the damaged buildings.
Hialeah Fire Department dispatcher Mark Colon says the structures were in the area of Palm Avenue and East 17th Street and the damage spans a few blocks. He said a power line might also be down and that Florida Power & Light was responding to the scene.
