Florida to Begin Enforcing Voter Registration Law

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - Florida will begin enforcing new restrictions on voter registration drives after the state won a legal challenge.

Secretary of State Kurt Browning said Tuesday that he plans to begin enforcement once a rule is finalized to implement the registration law.

Passed last year, it requires private groups to submit voter registration applications within 10 days and before pre-election deadlines or else face fines.

A federal judge in Miami last Wednesday rejected a legal challenge from the League of Women Voters of Florida and other groups that conduct registration drives.

That (conspicuously un-named) Federal Judge is not aware that we live in a Democracy. Why would a Federal Judge, of all people, be an advocate of 'voter restriction' if we live in a Democracy? What is the name of this Judge? Why is he on the bench if he is not an advocate of Democracy?
