Panama City Beach Police have responded to what is believed to be the first balcony fall of the spring break season.
The fall happened around 2:45 Monday afternoon at the Boardwalk Beach Resort.
Police say the spring breaker was standing on a 3rd floor balcony, trying to swat a seagull that was flying nearby when the young man's momentum carried him over the railing.
Fortunately he landed in some soft sand.
Police say he was up and talking when they arrived, but paramedics took him to the hospital as a precaution.
Authorities have not yet released his name, age, college or hometown.
