Tornado Watch for Western Florida Panhandle

PENSACOLA, Fla. (AP) - Weather officials say there's a tornado watch in effect for the western Florida Panhandle until early Sunday afternoon.

The National Weather Service's storm prediction center in Oklahoma says the tornado watch is in effect until one pm central time today.

A tornado watch means conditions are favorable for tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.

People in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible warnings.
