MARIETTA, Ga. (AP) -- Cobb County school officials say a tip from
a student led school officials to another student with a gun at
North Cobb High School.
School officials say the school's resource officer was able to
confiscate the weapon on Friday and no one was injured.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports (http://bit.ly/u6qgZM)
that Principal Phillip Page sent parents a note commending the
students who brought the situation to his attention.
Officials say the student who brought the gun was arrested. Cobb
County school system policy states that a student bringing a gun on
campus will be expelled.
