Police: Thieves Target Honor Guard During Burial

ATHENS, Ga. (AP) -- Authorities say thieves stole from four members of a military honor guard unit while they were at a burial ceremony in northeast Georgia.

Athens-Clarke police said $1,757 in belongings was stolen from
their unlocked van while they were at a ceremony at Evergreen
Memorial Park in Clarke County on Wednesday.

The Athens Banner-Herald reports (http://bit.ly/nsTkoi) that
cash, jewelry, an iPod, and credit and debit cards were stolen.
