CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. (AP) -- Authorities say four central Florida
deputies fatally shot a man who pointed a gun at them.
The Brevard County Sheriff's Office reports that 71-year-old Francis Howard Morrell had been causing a disturbance at a Cape Canaveral business complex Friday morning.
Deputies responded and confronted the retired dentist, who owned two units at the complex.
Sheriff Jack Parker says the man raised his firearm at the
deputies, so they shot him.The deputies were not injured.
