MOBILE, Ala. (AP) - Authorities say it appears that an 18-year-old man accidentally shot his cousin thinking she was a burglar.

Mobile County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Lori Myles tells the Press-Register 26-year-old Joy Logan of Bay Minette was shot to
death around 11:30 p.m. Monday.

Logan and her aunt were visiting a family member in the hospital. When it started to get late, the aunt told Logan to spend the night at the aunt's home. Logan took the key and went to the hope.

Myles says Logan's cousin Daniel Johnson was inside the house
and knew his mother wasn't coming home but didn't know his cousin
was coming over. He thought Logan was a burglar and fatally shot
her.

The sheriff's office has ruled the shooting accidental and says no charges will be filed.
