Update: Suspect in Custody after Suspicious Letter Found at Alabama University

FLORENCE, Ala. (AP) - FLORENCE, Ala. - Authorities say they've arrested a woman in the case of a suspicious letter and package
mailed to the University of North Alabama.

Police say 56-year-old Mary Lee Hudson of Tuscumbia was arrested
Monday and charged with a felony in connection with the case.

University of North Alabama police say the letter containing a suspicious substance was received on the fifth floor of Stevens
Hall on Thursday.

Following the criminal investigation, the case was turned over to the Lauderdale County District Attorney and the United State Postal Inspector. The Lauderdale County District Attorney's Office issued the charges.
