UPDATE: DPD Officer Charged with DUI Resigns

A Dothan police officer was arrested over the weekend on a DUI charge.

Brent Parrish, 40, was arrested Saturday on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol, according to information provided by the Houston County Jail.

Alabama State Trooper spokesman Kevin Cook said the trooper who made the arrest on the DUI charge told him he would also be charging Parrish with leaving the scene of an accident.

Brent is a good man. Yes, we all make mistakes & have to deal with the consequences, but because I know without a doubt Brent Parrish would and has come to my family's aid at any time I encourage everyone to please refrain from judging too quickly. Do I condone drinking & driving? No I do not, but I do condone second chances.
